James Canyon Afternoon

Today, James Canyon, New Mexico, seems a different world than the one I’ve passed through over my lifetime.  Heavy clouds hover atop the foothills so familiar to me.  A light snow falls gently outlining tree limbs left bare in the winter season.

A lovely afternoon drive from my home over the hill to my beloved Aunt Helen’s house normally takes just 2-hours.   This brand new snow-covered world I’ve entered has slowed my pace.  I want to move slowly and take it all in.   Photo opportunities around every corner.  New special-moment-memories in the making.   A peaceful feeling drifts over me as the hush of snow fall creates a beautiful new scene to hold in my heart.

My unforgettable road trip takes 4-hours!

The James Canyon photos can be found  in my Southwest/New Mexico album on this website.
